I'm a graduate game developer with a Bachelor of Game Development (Design). I have experience designing, prototyping, playtesting and producing games of various genres and platforms including VR.
Ever since I was a kid, videogames have always been a big part of my life. They comforted me during hard times, I made friends by playing and talking about them, and they have inspired me many times. That's why I chose to become a Game Developer.
My goal as a Game Developer isn't to top charts and lead the industry.
My goal is to make games that leave a lasting, positive impact on its players.
I want games whose stories can provide comfort and healing in hard times.
I want games that can inspire you.
I want games that mean something.
I may not be the most experienced in the field, but I am notoriously adaptable when it comes to the way I approach projects. If the project calls for a codebase no one on the team knows, I'll learn it. If there's a new system or feature that hasn't been well documented, I'll research it. If the project has a major technical issue that cannot be overcome, then I take the planning and initiative to work around it.
Currently, I'm studying a Diploma of Animation full-time both to pursue my own interests and start developing art and animation skills for my own creative projects both in and outside of the gaming industry, and as a supplementary career path so I can jump between the Animation industry and the Games industry when the need arises. However, if the opportunity to enter the gaming industry appears while studying the Diploma, I am more than willing to shift my Diploma to a part-time commitment.
